The CAPSTONE mission, named for NASA's Cislunar Autonomous Positioning System Technology Operations and Navigation Experiment, tests navigation and communication technologies for future lunar missions in a unique orbit around the Moon.

Mission Overview
Deployed NASA's 25 kg CAPSTONE CubeSat, a pathfinder mission for the Gateway space station testing a Near-Rectilinear Halo Orbit (NRHO) around the Moon. Used the Lunar Photon kick stage to boost the spacecraft toward the Moon. Successfully entered lunar orbit in November 2022.
